• Business data — bookings, staff, services, pricing, and customer records you enter into your Portal.
• Customer contact details — phone numbers you enter for the purpose of sending appointment reminders and related messages.
• Payment information — processed via M-Pesa; we do not store your M-Pesa PIN or full payment credentials.
• Usage data — how you interact with the Portal, for improving the Service.
• Cookies — small files used to keep you signed in and understand how the site is used (see Section 5).

2. How We Use Information

• To provide and operate the Service, including sending reminders and confirmations to your customers on your behalf
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To provide customer support
• To improve and maintain the Service
• To communicate important updates about your account

3. How We Share Information

We don't sell your data. We share information only with:

• Service providers we rely on to operate Avitus OS — including WhatsApp/Meta and SMS gateway providers (for message delivery) and Safaricom M-Pesa (for payments)
• Legal authorities, if required by law

Your business's data is kept separate from other businesses using Avitus OS and is only accessible through your account credentials.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we retain data for a limited period in case you wish to reactivate, after which it may be deleted.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged into your Portal and to understand how the website is used, so we can improve it. You can choose to decline non-essential cookies using the cookie banner shown on this site; essential cookies required for login and security cannot be disabled.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including access controls and encrypted connections. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to keep your login credentials confidential.

7. Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your business's data by contacting us. Note that some data (such as billing records) may need to be retained for legal or accounting purposes.

Avitus OS is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
